Just in time for your Canada 150 celebrations! Join us for a 2 hour workshop to get started on this convenient crochet tote bag. Use our Canada theme as inspiration or feel free to be creative with your own colour choices and embellishment. Makes a great ipad case, book bag, project tote, or gift bag. Simple construction using single crochet from the bottom up, with a tight stitch that doesn't require lining!
To make the bag as shown requires 4 skeins of Sudz worsted cotton (2 red and 2 white), a 4.5mm crochet hook, stitch markers, and a tapestry needle. This project would be ideal for an adventurous beginner to an advanced student looking for a fun small project. You should be comfortable with chain, slip stitch, and single crochet. The pattern starts by working in rows, then switches to continuous rounds.
Please note: An advanced leaf appliqué pattern can be found online at www.redheart.com.
